BIOGRAPHY
T-Bone grew up mostly in Durban and
has lived all over South Africa.
His Professional Theatre career began with a vibrant production of `The
Blues Brothers’ at the Langoustines Theatre in Durban (dir:Duncan
Royce). The show traveled to The Civic Theatre in Johannesburg, The
Barnyard Theatre in Witrivier, East London & Cape Town.
Other Musicals include 'Far From The Madding Crowd’ at
The
Playhouse Opera in Durban, also Herr Zeller in 'The
Sound of Music’(dir:Ralph Lawson)
&
'Jimbo' (dir:Themi
Venturas) & 'Forever Home'
(dir:Fr Merlin Ince omi) among others.
Drama's include the role of XC in `Seeing
Red’ (written & dir:Greig Coetzee),
and the award winning `To House’
(written & dir:Ashwin Singh). `Shades
of Marguerite Poland' (dir:Caroline
Smart & Patrick Collier) among others.
His biggest role was Othello for which he was nominated Best
Actor in a Lead Role at the prestigious Durban
Theatre Awards. `Othello’ (dir:Garth
Anderson). Previous Shakespeare productions include 'McBeth'
where he played the role of
MacDuff, for which he was nominated
Best Supporting Actor.
Recent Television success includes the `Ola Milky Lane'
advert featuring T-Bone as The Waffleman. T-Bone has been featured
in many Training & Corporate videos. He played a featured role in the
unreleased movie `The Sunflower’ opposite Hakeem kae Kazeem
& Bill Flynn.
Another memorable experience was training, entertaining, facilitating
and motivating the Coca-Cola Popstars 1 & 2 which was shown on SABC
3 & SABC 1 respectively.
T-Bone finished matric at Kearsney
College in the early 90's where he received Cultural Honours for his
contribution to school cultural activities;
Initiating a dance club, member of the school's Pop Band, playing lead
roles in school productions (Kenicke in `Grease',
Appolyon
in `Christian', Pharoah in `Joseph'
and more), directing house plays and more.
T-Bone completed his B.A Degree at UKZN-Pietermaritzburg. At University
he founded the Chess Club, Netball Club and African Choral Society (which
now sings at UKZN graduation ceremonies). He was very active in contributing
to campus life, having organized several sporting & social events.
At one point T-Bone was Vice-President Marketing of A.I.E.S.E.C. on campus.
AIESEC
is an international student development association.
At University T-Bone played various lead & support roles such as
Danny
in `Grease’ (dir:Peter Mitchell),
John in `The
Island’ (dir:Philani Shezi), mostly performed at the Hexagon
Theatre. Awards include Best Individual Performance and a Certificate
of Merit for Academic Achievement for Drama in Education.
T-Bone's new drive is to get more people involved in Theatre. He believes
"...not enough people understand and appreciate Theatre, but more importantly
not enough people know where Theatre is happening so they spend their money
on other things." As head of Theatre

he has taken on an ambitious project (getting bums on seats) with a creative
approach.
T-Bone loves the outdoors (hiking, biking, game walks etc) and his favourite
spots include The Drakensberg, Durban Beachfront, Mpumalanga and the Garden
Route.
