Durban Divas on TheatreSA

Durban Divas was formed in July 2000 with their first performance at the Royal Hotel's Backstage. Their diverse Cabaret showcase a multi cultural crossover show with a mix repertoire including songs from Local and International singers from Musicals, commercial numbers, Afro-Jazz ballads, Gospel, Traditional, Disco, Pop - Rock and well known township tunes that will keep you entertained all the way through, songs like MamaThembus wedding to Hallelujah it's raining men.

Durban Divas is home for singers either on an elementary stage or professional stage. We give opportunities to singers to perform as soloists or in an ensemble. For most of the girls that have taken part in the Divas show, the Divas have been the only source of income in their families and we would like to grow the show bigger and travel all over South Africa and Abroad.

Collaboration of headgears and attires for different songs adds sparkle to their performance. Either accompanied by a live band or backing tracks their perform leaves you wanting more.

Durban Divas have performed as guests singers in numerous festivals, corporate products launches, Birthday parties, Weddings, Fashion Shows, Beauty contents, conferences, HIV/AIDS & CANCER Benefit concerts with numerous local bands Brian Thusi Money makers, Durban Chamber Orchestra, KZN Philharmonic Orchestra, KZN Youth orchestra, as well as in high profiled occasion with Dignitaries all over the world.
